Amanda Intili is an artist and art educator based in New Orleans and is originally from her family’s farm in Northern NJ. Intili graduated from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in 2016 with a BA in Art Education and minors in Fine Art and Sociology. Her love for New Orleans began at TCNJ as she served two years on the Alternative Break Club (ABC) Executive Board, where she volunteered, organized, and led seven service trips to New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina Relief.
In continuation of her passion for service and education, Intili served over 1,700 hours with AmeriCorps through City Year in New Orleans 2017-2018. After her corps year, Intili continued to serve in the same high school through teaching Fine Art and English as a Second Language courses. Currently, Intili is teaching Visual Art in New Orleans, grades K-7th.
In her art practice, Intili explores the essence of place and narrative through a combination of watercolor, colored pencils, and pen.
